About

One sitcom character a day, from the couch to the break room

Sitcomdle is a free daily guessing game and a growing library of guides to the characters who made TV comedy, from Cheers and The Golden Girls to The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Why we made it

Sitcom characters feel like old friends. Some of us grew up with them on network TV, some of us found them on a third rewatch, and most of us can still argue about who the funniest person in the bar, the coffee shop, or the precinct really was. We wanted a short daily game that rewards that kind of fandom, something you can solve over coffee, trade scores on with a group chat, or play with the family after dinner.

Each day there is one mystery character, the same for everyone. Every guess shows how close you are on five clues: the show, the year the character debuted, the network that first aired the show, whether they were the lead, main cast, or a recurring player, and their gender. Practice mode lets you keep playing with a random character whenever you like.

How the character guides are written

Every character guide is original writing by fans, checked against reputable sources: episode lists, cast credits, and network pages. We cover the leads, and we give the side characters the full page they deserve, the ones most sites only mention in a listicle. You can also browse every show for its full cast.

Summaries and introductions stay light on spoilers. The longer sections of a guide can follow a character's whole arc, so read on with that in mind. We keep quotations to short catchphrases, and where sources disagree on a detail we say so or leave it out.

Who runs the site

Sitcomdle is an independent fan site operated by KGS Ventures LLC. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any network, studio, streaming service, or show. Show titles and character names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify them. We do not use show logos, stills, or promotional images: every picture on the site is our own artwork.
