Kenneth Parcell is the wide-eyed, endlessly polite NBC page who leads tours of 30 Rockefeller Plaza and treats every TGS cast member like royalty. Jack McBrayer, a friend of Tina Fey's from their days at Chicago's Second City, plays him as the purest soul in the building, with hints that he may be something stranger.

Who is Kenneth Parcell?
Kenneth is an NBC page, one of the uniformed young staffers who lead tours and run errands around the network's headquarters. He grew up on a pig farm in Stone Mountain, Georgia, studied at Kentucky Mountain Bible College, and adores television with an almost religious fervor. To raise the money to move to New York, he entered a pig-eating contest and discovered, to his horror, that the pig was his beloved Harold.
Over the seasons Kenneth becomes Tracy Jordan's go-to helper, a devoted student of Jack Donaghy, and the one person in the building who believes in NBC with his whole heart.
Personality and comedy
Kenneth is selfless to an absurd degree and cheerful even while describing a family history that is frankly alarming. He also has surprising talents, most memorably at the writers' poker game, where his blank, guileless face makes him almost impossible to beat. Fey wrote the part with McBrayer in mind after working with him at Second City.
The writers also plant a running joke that Kenneth might not be entirely human. He is pronounced clinically dead and comes back, dies again in a later episode, and gives the impression that he simply does not age. That mystery pays off in the finale.
Key storylines
Kenneth's devotion to the page program is tested again and again. He fights for a spot as a page at the Beijing Olympics, loses his page job at the end of season four and has to reapply, and in season six watches Jack shut the page program down to impress Kabletown's owner, Hank Hooper. Late in the series he dates fellow page Hazel Wassername (Kristen Schaal), who secretly sabotaged his reapplication to the page program and whose feelings for him are never quite real.
When Jack sets out to choose NBC's next president, the job ends up going to Kenneth, and by "Hogcock!" he is running the network. The series finale jumps far into the future to show Kenneth, unchanged and still in charge, hearing a pitch for a sitcom based on Liz Lemon's life.
