30 Rock Characters
30 Rock goes backstage at a chaotic NBC sketch comedy show with head writer Liz Lemon.
30 Rock follows Liz Lemon, the overworked head writer of a live sketch comedy show filmed at NBC's headquarters in New York. Tina Fey created the series and plays Liz, drawing on her years at Saturday Night Live.
Liz's problems include a new boss, network executive Jack Donaghy, who is determined to mentor her; the show's unpredictable star Tracy Jordan; and its attention-hungry leading lady Jenna Maroney. Kenneth Parcell, the endlessly cheerful NBC page, and writer Frank Rossitano, known for his slogan trucker hats, fill out the floor.
30 Rock packed more jokes into each minute than almost any sitcom before it. It ran for seven seasons and won the Emmy for outstanding comedy series three years running.
