When the wealthy Rose family is defrauded by their business manager, the only asset they have left is a small town called Schitt's Creek, which Johnny Rose once bought for his son as a joke. Johnny, his dramatic soap opera star wife Moira, and their adult children David and Alexis move into two adjoining rooms at the local motel.
Motel clerk Stevie Budd, the scruffy mayor Roland Schitt, and eventually David's business partner Patrick Brewer help the Roses find a place in a town they once looked down on.
Created by Eugene Levy and his son Dan, who also star, Schitt's Creek aired for six seasons on CBC. Its last season won every major comedy Emmy, a first for any show.
