When lawyer Jeff Winger loses his license over a fake degree, he enrolls at Greendale Community College and starts a fake Spanish study group to impress classmate Britta Perry. The group that shows up becomes something like a family: film-obsessed Abed Nadir, former high school football star Troy Barnes, overachieving Annie Edison, devoted mom Shirley Bennett, and wealthy, out-of-touch Pierce Hawthorne.
Around them, Greendale is chaos, presided over by the costume-loving Dean Craig Pelton and haunted by Ben Chang, their unhinged Spanish teacher. The show loved to experiment, with paintball war episodes, genre parodies, and stop-motion animation.
Created by Dan Harmon, Community ran for five seasons on NBC and a sixth on Yahoo! Screen, and its fans rallied around the slogan "six seasons and a movie."
