Modern Family follows three branches of one extended family in suburban Los Angeles. Patriarch Jay Pritchett is married to the much younger Gloria, who has a remarkably mature son, Manny. Jay's daughter Claire is a tightly wound mom married to Phil Dunphy, a goofy real estate agent, and their kids are Haley, Alex, and Luke. Jay's son Mitchell and his partner Cameron are raising their daughter Lily.
Told in a documentary style with plenty of interviews, episodes often bring the three households together for a party, trip, or holiday that slowly goes sideways.
Modern Family ran for eleven seasons on ABC and won the Emmy for outstanding comedy series five years in a row.
