Home Improvement follows Tim Taylor, the host of a local cable show called Tool Time, whose home projects at his suburban Detroit house rarely go as planned. His wife, Jill, and their three sons keep him honest, and his neighbor Wilson keeps watch from behind the backyard fence.
Tim Allen stars as Tim, with Patricia Richardson as Jill and Richard Karn as Tool Time co-host Al Borland. Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Taran Noah Smith play the boys, and Earl Hindman plays Wilson.
The series ran on ABC from 1991 to 1999, and its running gag of Wilson's hidden face is one of the most remembered jokes of the decade.
