After the death of his wife, Danny Tanner, a neat-freak sportscaster, asks two unlikely helpers to move into his San Francisco house to help raise his daughters: his rocker brother-in-law Jesse and his goofy best friend Joey, a stand-up comic.
The three girls grow up on screen. D.J. is the responsible oldest, Stephanie is the wisecracking middle child, and Michelle, played by twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, is the toddler whose catchphrases became a fixture of the era.
Full House was a cornerstone of ABC's family-friendly Friday nights and ran for eight seasons. Netflix brought much of the cast back for the sequel Fuller House.
