Scrubs Characters
Scrubs follows a daydreaming young doctor through his training at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Scrubs follows J.D., a young doctor who narrates his life at Sacred Heart Hospital and slips into elaborate daydreams at the slightest provocation. His best friend Turk is a confident surgeon, and fellow intern Elliot Reid is talented, anxious, and often J.D.'s love interest.
Their mentors are a mixed bag. Dr. Perry Cox delivers rants instead of compliments, chief of medicine Bob Kelso cares mostly about the budget, and head nurse Carla Espinosa keeps everyone in line. Then there is the Janitor, who has a mysterious grudge against J.D.
Created by Bill Lawrence, Scrubs balanced slapstick with some of the most moving hospital stories on television. It ran for seven seasons on NBC and two more on ABC.
